Meet Duke and Dolly: From a Texas Shelter to a Loving Family

Duky and Dolly, once known as Zak and Zara, were frightened, homeless puppies who needed a second chance.

Take Me Home transported them to a rescue in Minnesota where they were quickly adopted together!

Today, they live with a family who spoils them with love. Their new mom sent us this update that brought us such joy:

“We brought Zac and Zara home yesterday and their new names are Duke and Dolly.  They are the sweetest little darlings and we are quite in love already.  We have a large fenced yard so Duke and Dolly will now have property to run free and to protect.  Duke is definitely the man of the house.  We already love his deep growl and big boy bark!  I hope these pictures warm your hearts to know that all of your hard work has paid off in giving these two the best life possible.  The will live the lives of a prince and princess forever with us. We are so lucky to get to share life with this boy and his sweet sister Dolly.  Thank you for saving these two little souls.”

Their story reminds us of why we do what we do. Every transport, every adoption, every second chance given to a shelter animal changes lives—not just for the pets but for the families who welcome them home.
